Brilliance Without Burnout!

The STARR Sustainable Leadership in Schools Pilot Program

What is it?

This is not your typical “one and done” professional development training or online course.

Our Brilliance Without Burnout, Sustainable Leadership in Schools Pilot Program is a year long, designed for you and done with you all inclusive package of RADICAL TRANSFORMATION, emotional intelligence and optimal mental health management for your entire school community, across 2025 and BEYOND!

Where you’ll have access to consistent in-house support for your staff and school, each and every week in real time!

We'll share more details during the FREE in person event. You can also request a Training Prospectus via email. Send the word 'Prospectus' to [email protected] for a copy of the Brilliance Without Burnout; Sustainable Leadership In Schools Pilot Program Outline.

Why do you need this?

It will likely come as little surprise to you that since pre-Covid days, the number of mental health claims filed by teachers has GROWN SIGNIFICANTLY, according to WorkSafe Victoria.

From 2019 to the end of 2023, mental health claims almost DOUBLED, from 166 to 241 across primary and secondary schools.

Almost half of Australian teachers were considering QUITTING within the next year, according to a 2023 report from the Black Dog Institute; an increase of 14 per cent from 2021.

The report surveyed more than 4000 teachers, who said 60 percent of teacher absences in a single month were due to a mental health or emotional problem.

"The data suggests we are looking at a profession in crisis," Associate Professor Aliza Werner-Seidler said.

"Teachers are working longer hours with fewer resources and this pressure is building with an increase of burnout and time being taken off due to mental ill-health."

An Australian Education Union survey of 430 Victorian teachers found over a third of schools are being forced to increase class sizes to manage shortages.

Almost 40 per cent said they were using principals and assistant principals to help fill gaps in the classroom.

In Queensland (between 2015 and 2022), more than $322 million in workers’ compensation was paid to teaching staff.

You KNOW something needs to CHANGE!

But CHANGE won’t happen with more of the SAME approach to mental and emotional health in your school. Or more “Skim the Surface” Professional Development Training Programs.

Which is why at the end of our FREE training & School Health Assessment, we'll invite you to explore our Step Three solution...

✅ STARR's Year Long designed for you and done with you - Brilliance Without Burnout - Sustainable Leadership in Schools Pilot Program

RESTORE your teaching staff’s capacity to lead with confidence, and uncover the ROOT CAUSE of problem behaviours in the classrooms (and staff room) at your school.

Every school is a unique ecosystem. A community, with its own psycho-dynamics and social dramas unfolding each day. And where everyone has the capacity to THRIVE, with the right supports.

However, most traditional professional development and training only skims the surface of what’s happening in your school.

You DON'T Need More...

❌ Money spent on paying people to point out MORE of the obvious to you...again!

❌ Tips, strategies, systems or workbooks on behaviour to somehow integrate (ON YOUR OWN!) across every classroom, FORCING them on reluctant (bordering on BURNT OUT) staff.

❌ One and Done "Experts" who barely speak with staff, ACT like they know your school inside out and BETTER than YOU, and then leave a mess of teachers who feel "talked down to" in their wake (for YOU to clean up!).

You NEED a dedicated team of professionals, working with you to:

Assess

Diagnose exactly where YOUR school community REALLY NEEDS additional support and scaffolding (blind spots you might not be able to see, because you're too close!)

Action

Create a designed for you action plan to meet your community, staff and students where they’re at, with micro steps to make the changes you ALL NEED to happen, efficiently.

Assist

Trauma-informed behavioural, developmental and educational support, PLUS guidance across EVERY aspect of your school community's mental and emotional well-being across 2025.

So that by the end of 2025 your staff, students, your ENTIRE SCHOOL will be celebrating achievements you cannot even IMAGINE right now, from where you currently FEEL STUCK!

Watch Your Teaching Staff Go From...

❌ Dropping like flies with burnout and fatigue

➡️ TO stress free, sick free, emotionally regulated and resilient teachers who can stay cool in any chaos; demonstrating next level leadership.

❌ Dragging themselves into class more reluctantly than the kids

➡️ TO rejuvenated and ready to hit the ground running at the start of each school day.

❌ Feeling overwhelmed with problem behaviours and little to no help from parents

➡️ TO knowing how to interpret behaviours like experts (from a neuroscience perspective!), communicate through conflict and create win-win based resolutions and outcomes.

Struggling to maintain professional boundaries in the midst of the energy in class each day

➡️ TO uplevelling their leadership skills, masterfully dealing with conflict, breaking through resistance, and modelling emotional management with authority.

Being overrun with micro-managing all the special needs, circumstances and strategies in class

➡️ TO having confidence in their own understanding, intuitive ability, wisdom and capacity to support students in the best way, at any given moment.

Meet Your STARR School Well-Being Support Crew:

Bron Lea; trauma specialist and STARR founder

Bron is a counsellor, educator and consultant specialising in complex, childhood and intergenerational trauma, as well as neurodivergent and developmental disorders.

Prior to establishing a successful professional practice in 2016, then a global Institute of Healing four years later, she worked as a freelance writer for prominent national publications and private clients.

Bron understands trauma from the inside out. Especially the complex interplay between early childhood development and the increasing diagnosis of neurodivergent disorders in pre-adolescents. All three of her children are Autistic (their youngest also Type 1 Diabetic) and homeschooled, with an array of special needs.

Before working through her own trauma 9 years ago, Bron was diagnosed and treated for endometriosis, infertility, PostNatal Depression, cPTSD, carer burnout, anxiety, fibromyalgia, CFS, Aspergers and ADHD.

In 2011, she founded an Autism Advocacy Not For Profit, and in 2013 collaborated with Monash University, RCH, AMAZE, DHS, the DET, Noah’s Ark, LCHS and numerous regional schools in Gippsland to coordinate the first ever international conference where 90% of speakers were from the autistic community. Including keynote speaker John Elder Robison, who inspired Sheldon Cooper’s character from The Big Bang Theory.

Bron had a best selling book on Autism published in over 30 countries in 2015, before directing her focus toward trauma work 8 years ago. Since then, she’s helped thousands of women across the world recover from mental health related illness.

She founded the STARR Collective Institute in 2020, and commenced training professionals across numerous industries to better understand and work with trauma.

Bron focuses on the science AND spirit behind mental health disorders, bringing a unique approach that recognises and resources every person who goes through STARR programs into their fullest potential as a confident, calm and capable leader.

Lynda Monopoli; Psychotherapist and STARR Training Operations Manager

Lynda is a dedicated counsellor, psychotherapist, and hypnotherapist with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Since beginning her private practice in 2016, Lynda has specialised in the study of trauma, becoming a complex trauma specialist within her own business, Amorah Healing and the STARR Collective Institute. She integrates science and spiritual-based practices to facilitate long-term mental healthcare, providing holistic and effective methods for her clients.

Throughout her career, Lynda has made contributions to the development of innovative therapeutic programs within STARR Collective, and successfully helped clients around the world achieve lasting transformation and wellbeing.

Lynda has gained profound insights into the deep-rooted impacts of trauma on individuals, families and communities, and understands the necessity of a compassionate, tailored approach to healing.

She also has a special interest in empowering women and addressing issues related to menopause, focusing on supporting women through these significant life transitions. Her commitment to professional growth and client well-being underscores her commitment to service in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.

Karen Andersson (aka Karnie); Counsellor, STARR Practitioner and Teacher

As a top 10% graduate from Teacher’s College 40 years ago, Karnie secured a job immediately as District Relieving Teacher. A role that quickly taught her how to connect with children and staff alike, and the importance of setting classroom tone within the first few minutes, to create a calm, safe, focused learning environment.

Throughout her dynamic career in Education, Karnie’s taught across all academic levels, been part of Leadership and Planning Teams tasked with implementing curriculum initiatives and policy, and was nominated to become a Statewide Numeracy Trainer.

She excels in developing rich relationships and rapport with kids, colleagues and parents alike. Her interpersonal skills are remarkable, and her passion for authentic connection has seen Karnie hold many wellbeing based roles and sit on numerous school committees.

One of her career highlights was being Welfare Officer for the Department of Ed; developing policy within schools to facilitate improved relationships and interactions across the community.

Karnie's passion for learning saw her return to University for her Transpersonal Counselling and Complex Trauma qualifications; learning strategies she’s successfully implemented into classroom scenarios.

Alongside teaching part time at a senior level, Karnie is a Trauma Counsellor and meditation teacher. She remains in contact with many former students; who remember her fondly as a calm, nurturing influence in their life, integral to their academic success.
